Hong Kong 13 June 2019 — In celebration of World Environment Day from 5 June 2019, with support from various sustainability-focused brands, The Coffee Academïcs hosted a series of #GoGreen events for the entire month. We integrated our in-store experiences with a dedicated mini-website to raise awareness of the potential environmental benefits of switching to a plant-based diet.
We held a BLIND TASTING COMPETITION at four different store locations, at different times in June. We invited the public to sample drinks and foods made from both regular ingredients and plant-based ones and to evaluate the taste and tell the difference. A tasting station was set up at our stores. Participants were invited to taste a set of 4 items and input their guesses on a survey for exciting prizes. Relevant educational materials were displayed on the website throughout the event.

It was an educational experience. All participants learned that vegan or vegetarian options taste just as good while being environmentally-friendly!
